This course is a fast-paced, two-week intensive, designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to jumpstart your career as a union grocery store worker. In just two weeks, you’ll dive into engaging content, hands-on activities, and real-world learning opportunities that prepare you for success from day one.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Dynamic, Relevant Content
You will learn about the topics of personal and workplace safety, primal and retail cuts, cooking, seafood, and customer service.
Hands-On, Interactive Learning
Put what you learn into action through discussions, activities, and collaborative learning with your peers and instructors.
Support Every Step of the Way
You won’t do this alone. Your instructor will guide and support you throughout the course, with added insight from a veteran interview coach and job placement assistance to help you take your next steps with confidence.

What's included

Expert instruction from an experienced ELL workforce development trainer

40 hours of in-person training (20 hours per week for two weeks)

$300 stipend upon completion of the program.
